System Architect

“It is not sayings that are lacking, the books are full of them – what is lacking are people who apply them.” (Epictetus)

Optimizing and transforming existing systems are Marco’s focus areas. He designs and initiates the necessary organizational changes and guides all participants through change – whether centralization, bundling and streamlining initiatives or cultural change, process orientation and leadership realignment.

At the center of his system design is the company-specific balancing of the relationship between people and work. Work changes continuously in terms of work equipment, methods, quantity, and content. At the same time, people change in terms of their needs, necessary skills, and attitudes. Marco is convinced that only when everything fits together in harmony, the “work-human” system can develop innovative and creative power. Only that way humane performance is possible.

After six years of design and conceptual responsibility in architectural environment, the interior architect started his career in Corporate Real Estate Management at the Lufthansa Group. After holding positions in operational management and numerous reorganizational projects, he managed the group’s HR strategy and HR project portfolio for many years. In addition, he headed the staff of the group’s Human Resources & Legal department. His consulting approach is based on more than 20 years of management and implementation experience – from medium-sized companies to DAX30. Together with his clients, Marco always aims to create realistic, rapid implementation options that target systemic impact, and measurable business success. Keeping the “beginner’s mind” and always developing new, unusual ideas without bias is especially important to him.

When Marco is not on the road for HRpepper, he is probably cooking for his family, standing in his studio painting, or has resiled to his library to read.

What is important to you at work?

“Putting people first” not just as a phrase, but applying it consistently, thereby making the effectiveness of people in social systems and the systems themselves more performant and sustainable. “
